Paddle Those Pounds away.
Want to have a ton of fun while you’re getting fit? Just add water. Georgia State
Parks offer an abundance of scenic waterways to explore, for both seasoned
paddlers and wet-behind-the-ears beginners, too.
There’s even a Park Paddlers Club for folks who get hooked on this great form of
exercise! The club offers paddlers a unique vantage on the state as they explore
22 miles off scenic waterways, across six different parks. Parks vary in difficulty,
so paddlers have a chance to improve their skill level as they work towards
completion. After visiting all 6 parks, members earn their own t-shirt and bragging
rights!
Membership cards are also available by calling (770) 389-7401 or sending an
email to Annissa.Carter@gadnr.org.
Please note: Some sites may be affected by drought conditions and low water.
Please make sure to call ahead and verify that the water trail is open. All
members must know how to swim, children must be 3 years of age or older, and
personal flotation devices are required for everyone. You may bring your own
canoe or kayak. Some sites or local outfitters provide rentals.
